01 ABOUT

MY STORY.

I am a UX/UI leader with over 6 years of experience. I love sinking my teeth into problems and finding creative solutions. As a leader, I enjoy creating a culture of innovation, motivating others to grow in their practice, and building a team of individuals that bring unique perspectives and talents to the table.

When it comes to solving human-centered problems, I am passionate about determining the right problem to be solving. Oftentimes, I find the best solutions are found when individuals with various skill sets come together to achieve a common goal.

I found my way to UX after graduating from Minneapolis College of Art & Design. I was a single mom at the time with a love for problem-solving and understanding others. I had the skills for graphic and web design, an interest in psychology, and a mission to make the lives of others a little easier. After some soul searching and taking a chance on a new career path, I discovered my purpose of collaborating with others, with a variety of skill sets and backgrounds, to connect the dots and solve human problems. This is what drives me daily.

Best Buy

Lead, inspire, and mentor UX/UI designers, researchers, and content writers to create impactful experiences for Best Buy employees. Identify opportunities, cast visions, and collaborate with business partners to align experience enhancements to business goals.

UX Designer

Best Buy

Collaboratively consult, brainstorm, and design digital screens to enhance the employee experience across the enterprise. Lead workshops, create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, visual designs, and spec/annotation documents based on research conducted internally and externally.

Interactive Designer

BRICK inc.

Consulted, researched, brainstormed, and designed advertising materials for a variety of clients. These materials included websites, logos, banner ads, email campaigns, and more while continuing to achieve optimal user experience.

Consult, research, design, and develop dynamic logos and websites for local small business clients using Adobe Creative Suite and Axure. Ensure efficient and consistent workflow using best practices for UX/UI design work.

May 2018-March 2019

UX/UI Design Intern

Medicom Health

Research, develop, and refine all aspects of UI within the Health Risk Assessments and Portal. Collaboratively brainstorm and create new ideas for additional products. QA testing new features after development and regression testing before software launches.
